Chinese New Year Part 2

I had a fantastic day yesterday celebrating chinese new year. It is a day where i meet most of my relatives except for some of my aunties on my mum side because my god-grandfather passed away last year. So according to chinese customs, they are not allowed to celebrate chinese new year and give out red packets.

Well my family and I met people which we only meet one time in a year which is the aunties and uncles from my dad's side. Oh well we are not really that close enough, so there isn't much to talk. Other den showing off their jewelleries and their clothes, they are basically suaning each other, if not is showing off how good their daughters or son is.

Sickening...

Oh that is the dark side of the gatherings, the good side is there are helluva lots of snacks to eat, yeah...i'm gonna have to run 20 laps around the park to burn off all those fats that i have consumed. There goes my plans to slim down...sobz

Ang Baos....!!!

This year the designs of the ang baos gets more and more...lousier. I mean in the year of the dog (which is last year) there are some quite unique designs which actually looks attractive...but this year...urgh...don't even want to talk about it, but the amount of money in the ang bao is still quite consistent. Hehehe...$_$

It was eating, drinking, gambling, laughing all around...hell i hope most of these will continue until the end of the week or if not...end of the year...

Well, what can I say. When I say that heaven is unfair to me for a certain thing in my life, it return to me in another way. I said that, "Heaven! Why are you so unfair. When people can earn so much in their life and I only earn such pathetic peanuts". The remark must have alert some kind of detection sensors in heaven and send a message to whoever is in charge up there. They return to me something incredible. Which is a very simple thing really, and that is "The Opportunity to Learn". How many times I will skim through a book and then evaluate it with the very least information i got from the skim saying that it is good or not good. How many times I was recommended a book but I didn't bother to look for it. How many times I was taught something but I didn't bother to think about it. How many .... How many .... Too many! I discovered that this is the seventh entry to this blog. Double-O 7, sounds so James Bond haha. Another day passed without any real happening event. However there is some things that is worth remembering and also some ideas that might be useful in future. Met up with a senior director of a real estate company which happens to be an semi-professional photographer. We are suppose to meet up and chat about the possiblities of printing flyers and also something about his bookmarks. After talking so much about our hobbies, which is photography, i find that he became more friendly. I guess that is what happen when you get into a topic which the person is interested in, he will talk more. After he saw the postcard with a good photograph of the nightscene of orchard shot from on top of Fort Canning hill, he was amused and entertained by the picture.
